Young people who are not of driving age or do not have a car, primarily rely on their parents as their main source of transportation. Single parent households can pose even greater challenges with meeting their children's needs to get to after school activities, jobs and recreation. Public transportation is a simple and economic solution.

For students who come to the Poconos to attend college and don't bring a car, public transportation is an essential means to get around. Whether you need to shop, get a job or you just want to enjoy a recreational activity, public transportation is fast and easy. For many students, bikes make getting around easier as well as providing an enjoyable means of recreation and exercise. All public fixed route buses have racks to transport bikes.
Check out our Student's Guide to Public Transportation for a step by step route guide of things to do and places to see in the Poconos.
